Do You Agree? President Theodore Roosevelt had strong views about immigrants and who should share the American dream. Do you Agree? Share if you believe he is right!
Theodore Roosevelt’s ideas on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN in 1907.
“In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin.
But this is predicated upon the person’s becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American … There can be no divided allegiance here.
Any man who says he is an American, but something else also,
isn’t an American at all.
“We have room for but one flag, the American flag …
We have room for but one language here,
and that is the English language …
and we have room for but one sole loyalty
and that is a loyalty to the American people.”
Someone once asked me why do I pray “In Yeshua’s name, amen!” I actually have very many answers for that question, so many in fact that as I thought about it, I answered, “Why don’t you pray in the name of Yeshua?” Of course the person doing the asking was really asking why I did not pray in the name of Jesus? Therefore, I decided to write a series of posts on why I pray this way and title it, In Yeshua’s Name!
The series, In Yeshua’s Name!, is a thoughtful consideration of what name the Original Bible tells us to pray in.
“To pay attention, this is our endless and proper work.”
~ Mary Oliver ~
As David Tait has said, “The true work of a con artist, is to make you believe, you don’t need to pay attention.” To pay attention is one of the key principles to becoming a success. You need to pay attention, to see what no one else sees. You need to pay attention, to hear what other people ignore. You need to pay attention, to be a Success in Life, Love and Business!
The best thing to do is to always compete with yourself
and not to compete with others. ~ Kelly Cutrone ~
The con artist pays attention to you, in order to learn how to gain your confidence. Remember that con artist is actually short for confidence artist, his “art” is in paying attention. The salesman works, more honestly, in much the same way. He pays attention, listening for you to tell him how to sale you his product.
“Never give in
and never give up.”
~ Hubert H. Humphrey ~
Most things you try won’t work the first time. When what you are doing doesn’t appear to be working, don’t think that means it failed. It likely means it won’t be a success in the method you are trying.
Life isn’t fair, so why play by the rules? You make your own breaks, your own rules, under the law!
Instead, life gives us the chance to make our own fate. To strive, to fight against all odds. I was a street kid, so poor that sometimes days or even weeks would go by without food. Drinking muddy water from the street just to survive is an experience I have that few others understand.
Jodi Arias and Casey Anthony have a few things in common. Both are young beautiful women, both had little to no criminal records, both are liars, both are manipulative, both were charged with Premeditated Murder in the First Degree, both had media trials, and both were declared the most hated woman in America!
That actually is not much when you consider the fact that Casey Anthony was found Not-Guilty and set Free and Jodi Arias was found Guilty and sentenced to Life in Prison!
Now you may not agree with that last part, because you have not heard it on the other news channels yet. However, if you consider the facts in a logical way, you will see that Life in Prison is already a done deal! Continue reading “Jodi Arias gets Life in Prison”
This morning I was thinking about a couple things I really dislike, perhaps hate! I love you and goodbye. Not it is not that these are so bad, but all around me I see people using the words “I love you!” when they don’t. Any day you can go buy a pillow that says I love you, but it doesn’t.
Search the internet and you will soon find out that “I love you” is often used to ask for money, or sex, on Internet dating sites.
My second pet peeve, or perhaps the first, because I have hated it longer is the way “goodbye” it used. I have a feeling no one should ever say goodbye! So here is some suggestions for better communication in the area of I love you’s and Goodbye’s!
