#20 Focus on the Results You Want.
Whatever you really focus on tends to improve, and what you ignore deteriorates.
If you have a business and you want your sales to go up – it is a good idea to find out how sales are daily…
If you have a problem in defects, it would be good to focus on products that are returned, and how to prevent it.
It is the same with relationships – focus on what you want and you are more likely to get the results you want also.
Focus on the results you want.
There is an old, true, saying that says, “As you think, so shall you be.”
As a young man, my wife wanted me to teach her how to ride a motorcycle. Instead I enrolled her in a California Highway Patrol Motorcycle Safety Course. Having dropped her off, I stayed and watched this demonstration one day.
Picture a basketball court. Each student started by standing at one goal post. They were told to simply walk straight to the other goal post. No problem. Then a police officer stood at the center sideline, either the right or the left, and the student was told to again walk to the other post, but keep their eyes on the officer. When the officer was on the right, the student veered right. When the officer was on the left, the student veered left.
Moral: Whatever you focus on, that is the way you will go!
“Your focus determines what will happen, so focus on what you want to happen.” ~ David Tait
“I know for sure that what we dwell on is who we become.” ~ Oprah Winfrey
